A view of the main part of the village in 1975, with the "old" mosque and the "new" minaret

Çamal ağa was a beekeeper in the village.  He took my wife Margaret and me on a long walk through the blooming rhododendron and mountain laurel in May of 1975




When Margaret and I visited the village in 1975, we stayed with the village muhtar, Şevket bey, and his family.  Margaret is here with Şevket's wife and daughter and other children


When Margaret and I returned to the village in 1975, young Ömer had a little sister.  My house is in the background.
