Our landlord's son Ahmet (sickle in hand), his wife Fikriye, his older brother Hasan (on the right), and another villager, harvesting corn, November 1965


My site partner and I called the woman on the left "Whap," because she liked to give us a great swat whenever she saw us.  She and her son and daughter in law and their kids lived just down the hill from my house


Omer was the younger of two children of our landlord's son Ahmet and his wife, Fikriye
