Spring 1975:  My wife Margaret Pfunder (far right) a number of the men from our village, and  several local shepherds pose on the yayla near Erikbeli.  Note the rebellion suggested by the neat row of Tekel bira bottles in the foreground.


Spring 1975.  Margaret Pfunder and a number of the younger men from the village stop traffic on the village road.


A 1975 photo taken in Tonya.  That's myself (pipolu), and (on the left) the Tonya Postacıi, Yusuf (whom site partner Allen and I referred to as Yogi Bear), who took very good care of the startling quantity of materials received by the two Americans.  I can't identify the other two Tonyalıs who were with us.
