Oya, or Turkish Needle Lace Turkish Needle Lace by the late Gülen F. Tangören, M.D.   This is an art form Dr. Tangören learned when she was 8 years old and continued to practice until she passed away.  She was also taught this dying art to others to help preserve it.  More information on the art of oya.
