WHAT YOU WILL GET FOR YOUR 2014 DUES

bulletThe new 2013 Membership Directory featuring names (including maiden names), addresses, and listings by city/state/country, with information about groups of service and sites.  You will get this if you are paying your dues for the first time since 2012. This directory is the largest we have produced, more than 144 pages, with a collection of 115 of our very best photos and 18 wonderful stories written by members about their experiences in Turkey. Another classic photo from Dick Janzig adorns the front cover.  Yours for only $25 membership fee.

HELP ARKADAŞLAR SUPPORT TURKEY TODAY**

To support Turkey, Arkadaşlar donates funds to selected non-governmental organizations in Turkey or the United States. When renewing your membership, or joining for the first time, please consider donating additional funds so that Arkadaşlar can provide them on your behalf to these organizations:

Postsecondary Scholarships ($3,200 in 2013)
Arkadaşlar now is providing four-year postsecondary scholarships to eight students in Turkey.

C. Erik Olson Memorial Fund ($1,000 in 2013)
To honor this Turkey I volunteer, a memorial fund was established in 1999 to support the Pediatric Neurological Laboratory specializing in childhood epilepsy at the Hacettepe University Hospital in Ankara.

HasNa, Inc ($1,000 in 2013)
Its mission is to build peace through empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds in Turkey and Cyprus.  It helps groups with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds to work together to address common interests and achieve mutual goals.  Its goal is to strengthen relationships through increased understanding.  It is a US-based 501(c)(3) organization.  For more information see www.hasna.org.

Bridges of Hope Project, Inc. (BOHP) ($1000 in 2013)
This is a US-based 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to give hope and create opportunity to Turkish children and youth to pursue their education and realize their potential.  To achieve this goal, BOHP unites the Turkish-American community and friends of Turkey to raise awareness and resources to support educational projects, and build alliances with other nonprofit organizations.  For more information about BOHP, see: www.bridgesofhopeproject.org.

Sevinç Abla School ($2,000 in 2013)
This school in Adana serves children with various mental and physical challenges. Our Website has pictures at www.arkadaslar.info/sevinc_abla_school.htm

Anatolian Artisans ($1,300 in 2013)
This US-based 501(c)(3) organization supports the maintenance and development of local crafts from Turkey, with profits from US sales sustaining this effort. For more information, see www.anatolianartisans.org.

Nature Türkiye, the foundation arm of KuzeyDoğa ($650 in 2013)
The vision of KuzeyDoğa Society is to prevent extinctions and consequent collapses of critical ecosystem processes while making sure that human communities benefit from conservation as much as the wildlife they help conserve.  For more information, see www.kuzeydoga.org.
