Arkadaslar Board Meeting
June 25, 2003

In attendance:  Sandy Anderson, Pat Fesci, Marcia Gnuse, Peggy Hanson, Mike Jerald, Mike Jewell, Ellie LeBaron, Linda Scheffer, Dave Weinman, John Wintrol, and Susan Bayley

The meeting began at 6:45 PM.

Action: The board thanked Ellie for her superb work and service in creating and managing the web site. Everyone wished her well as she and her family move to Mauritania, thanking her for her willingness to continue serving as a our web manager when in Mauritania, and giving her a year’s subscription to Cornucopia.

Action: A flyer will be added to the mailing of the membership directory, encouraging members to continue donating funds to those projects in Turkey cited in the 2003 membership mailing and the spring edition of Buralarda.
     Ayes: 8 Nay: 2

Action: John will compose a draft set of bylaws for Arkadaslar for board review at the next meeting.

The next meeting will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Attila’s restaurant in Arlington, VA.

The meeting ended at 8:15 PM.
