In Memoriam -- Elizabeth (Betty) Schrom (T-8), Bursa
                           
Elizabeth (Betty) Schrom (T-8) passed away from breast cancer on September 5, 2005, in Ortonville, Minnesota.
Betty's sister sent us [Buralarda, No. 24, March 2006] the following which appeared in a church memorial:

Betty loved to learn and following her graduation from high school, she attended St. Scholastica, graduating and then attending Temple University in Philadelphia.  During her time at Temple, she attained one BA and two MAs.

After Betty's two-year stint in the Peace Corps, she returned to Philadelphia where she taught grade school and also served as a librarian in Laurel, Delaware.  Betty loved to travel and be exposed to different cultures.  With a BA in Russian, she enjoyed the time she took a trip to Europe and visited Russia.  In her spare time, Betty translated Russian fairy tales into English.  She also enjoyed attending the symphony and ballet.
