Abandoned Pontic Greek village of Santa, which dates from the 17th
century and at one time had over a thousand houses. Ruins of one of
the village's eight churches are visible in this picture. The village
is located in a remote valley southeast of Trabzon and was abandoned
after the Population Exchange in 1923.
