Cumhurriyet Bayram Dinners 2007
Florida Arkadaslar Bayram Luncheon Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007
We convened our Second Annual Bayram
Luncheon in Winter Park, Florida on Sunday, November 4th. Winter Park
is a suburb of Orlando and is thus fairly centrally located for Florida
RPCVs. Linda Ozgur again made arrangements at the Bosphorus Restaurant
where the food was delicious and the company even better. We had 15
atendees, 9 of whom were Turkey RPCVs and most of whom have been to Turkey
in one capacity or another.
We didn't talk about Peace Corps
experiences so much as we talked about the interesting activities and
travels everyone is currently engaged in. It was a delightful time,
enjoyed by all, and everyone left with the desire to get together again next
year.
Attending were: Lynda Ozgur (T-6) and
her husband Burnell Hoekstra, Hank and Jean Webb (both T-5), Paul (T-8 and
Thailand-40) and Magali Kirwin (Thailand-40), and their daughter, Cristine

(T-2) and Richard MacMaster, Kevin McCarthy (T-2) and his wife Karelisa
Hartigan, and Joseph and Ellie (T-15) LeBaron.
